What is LDS GIVE?
LDS GIVE is a free, online Mormon quiz game. It provides Latter-day saints with
a fun and easy way to improve their gospel knowledge and to help others at the same
time. For each correct answer, we donate to the Perpetual Education Fund (or to
another
LDS charitable fund of your choice such as the Humanitarian Aid Fund, Temple
Building Fund, etc.) Test your gospel knowledge and help others by playing a simple
quiz game!
Who pays for the donations?
The donations are paid for by our affiliates whose image banners you see directly
below the question/answer box on our homepage. Please
contact us
for information about becoming a sponsor of LDS GIVE.
Note: The donations are NOT paid for by the Google Ads
seen on this site and we do NOT encourage clicks on Google Ads as prohibited in
Google's Program Policies. Any revenue generated from Google Ads is used for website
maintenance and not for donations.
Why shouldn't I just donate directly to the Perpetual Education
Fund instead of playing this game?
Please do! One of the main purposes of LDS GIVE is to raise awareness of the
Perpetual Education Fund and the other
LDS charitable funds and to
encourage direct donations to them. Playing LDS GIVE is not a substitute for
donating directly to these funds. It simply provides an additional way for anyone
to contribute by playing a free, fun quiz game.
The fact is, many of us spend time playing games of some kind anyway. Why not
play a game that will improve our gospel knowledge and help others, even if it's
just in a small way? If enough people play, those few minutes of investing in yourself
by improving your gospel knowledge can also make a big difference in the lives of
real people in need. Everybody wins.
The donation amount seems really low. Can it really make a difference?
The amount that we donate per correct answer depends on our sponsors and the
number of people who play. The more people that play, the more we can donate. As
LDS GIVE grows in popularity, we can raise the amount donated for each correct answer.
That's why we need everyone's help to
spread the word
about LDS GIVE.
But even now, as low as it may seem, the donation quickly adds up. When you play
LDS GIVE, you'll see two counters. The first shows how much you've donated and the
second shows how much the combined total could be if less than 5% of LDS membership
donated as much as you have. The average cost of a Perpetual Education Fund loan
is $860. As you play, you'll see that it wouldn't take much to make a difference
if even a small percentage of LDS members spent a few minutes playing each day or
week.
Is LDS GIVE an official website of the LDS church?
No, but it was created by members of the LDS church and all donations are given
directly to the
LDS church.
Is LDS GIVE a non-profit charity organization?
LDS GIVE is simply a website that provides a free game to help LDS church members
improve their gospel knowledge and to raise awareness of the Perpetual Education
Fund and the other
LDS charitable
funds. For each correct answer, we donate to the Perpetual Education Fund or
to the fund of our players' choice.
Can anyone play LDS GIVE?
Absolutely! LDS GIVE is great for all ages and all gospel knowledge levels. You'll
find fun, challenging questions for everyone from primary children to High Priests.
Can I use LDS GIVE for a Family Home Evening Activity?
YES! Playing LDS GIVE can be a great Family Home Evening activity. Answer questions
as a family, see how much you can donate, and teach your children about the Perpetual
Education Fund and the
church's
other charitable funds.
How is my score determined?
Your score is the number of consecutive correct answers. Can you beat the top
score?
How do I play?
Simply read the question on
our homepage
and then click the most correct answer to begin playing.
If you get several questions right, you'll get a harder question.
If you get a question wrong, you'll be given an easier question.
If you don't know the answer, just make a guess. If you get it wrong, the correct
answer will be shown and you'll be given the same question later so that you can
retest yourself and improve your knowledge.
The number of questions that you can correctly answer in a row will be shown
as "Your Score" on the homepage.
For each correct answer, we donate to the Perpetual Education Fund or to
another
official LDS charitable fund of your choice.
